My Son's I-485 Notice

I just got my son's I-485 approval notice(VSC). It is written in the notice that "The above application has been approved. The Immigration Card Facility will mail the new alien registration card directly to the applicant in approximately 120 days." , which is different with the online status "This case has been approved. On April 22 , 2005, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and ........" . My son did not do any Biometrics. My question is

1. Is it correct for USCIS to send GC directly to my son?
2. Will my son go to local immigration office with TWO PHOTOS to have Passport stamp ?

Anyone who has similar experince please give advice. Thanks for sharing your experience.

If your son is <14 years, he dont need bio-metric information. USCIS will mail card directly.My kids got like that only.

Thanks for your quick response. Here is one more question for you: Did your son take TWO PHOTOS to local immigration office to have his passport stamped before he got GC ?

I got i485 approval letter for my son daughter on 18 feb from vsc and then received her gc in the mail on 3 march.My son's approval came on 23 feb but got a letter asking for new photos.i mailed his photos and got the GC in april.All children under 12 years age do not have to undergo biometrics and get gc for 10 yrs. In my case i had to do a info pass appointment and submitted to 2 photographs and finger prints done and alos got the gc on april 23 ..My wife had a rfe on the birth certificate and was just approved today..GOOd luck to everyone.. Came to us on L1 in dec 2000 and got GC in april 2004...This has been a good site and has provided a lot of info..everyone out their keep up the good work..i will be visiting and sharing my experiance...vjp05
