My situation, please help?

I should know the exact date... I can find that out. I don't have the boarding pass anymore... not something I thought to keep. I have a job with an international company that has it's HQ in New York, and since I work from home as a contractor I'm not sure that will help my case even though I have wage slips with my address here in Spain on them... but that's just for me, doesn't prove anything for my family (in the same situation) who have been out of work because there are just no jobs here in Spain. None of us have attended any type of school. The apartment we've rented is not an official document (unless you live in Spain, this could sound shady but this place is a joke, and wouldn't fly anywhere else... but basically they just write words on a piece of paper and that's it... nothing that I would count as valid).

I have a cell phone bill... that's it. And I only got that a few months ago.

Ah - I did get my British passport renewed since I've lived here, and my sister did as well, but that was only about six months ago.

If you know the exact date when you left the US, you might be able to get something from the airline to verify that you took that flight. The exact date and flight number details may also make it easier for the consulate to locate your exit record.

If you have boarding passes or passport stamps from other trips taken after you left the US, that would also help to show that you were outside the US at the time.

Thanks. Unfortunately, much like with a US passport, you'd have to go somewhere interesting for them to stamp a British passport. I've never received one stamp in it, ever. I have records that say my passport was renewed in Spain, so I'll hold onto those.

I've just got the exact date as well... and I know it was British Airways.

Thanks very much for this help. I would've never thought to catalog all of this otherwise. This forum has been a great help! Hopefully I'll be posting from the US 8 years from now and how you guys helped me attain LPR status!
