I just wanted to share my recent Dallas stamping experience with you all.
I went to INS office around 5:45am (office opens at 6:30am) and there were close to 70 applicants infront of me. Applicants with appointments were allowed first and I got inside around 7:15am and was given a number (they issue different series for different category of applicants) and waited for about 15 minutes before my number was called.
I was asked to give the approval notice, passport (with I94), EAD card and two photos. INS Officer checked in the system for five minutes and asked me to sign and took finger print and stamped my passport and was told that it would take six to twelve months before I get my card. I left INS Office around 7:55am (the whole process took over two hours).
Is it really taking that long (12 months) to get the card from Dallas office???
