its been 5 yrs since my parents and I got our green card, we all applied on September 27, 2006, my parents received Finger print receipt today Oct 11, 2006 but I didn't received my receipt.... all of us check has been cashed, I found my receipt number from the cashed check, when I check my status online it is saying "Status for this Receipt Number cannot be found" should I be worried, please kindly advice me what should I do. I greatly appreciate your advice and time

When you think USCIS, think of the words "slow" and "inconsistent". You'll be less edgy then.

Did you receive the initial notice of action (I think that's what it's called)? Without it, you don't have a "receipt number". If you did, you are in the system, and the world should eventually unfold as it should.

BTW, you are over 18, right? If not, then you shouldn't be filing an N-400.

Just because you sent the applications at the same time doesn't mean that they are going to process them at the same time, even if they were in the same envelop. Just be patient. Did you receive a Notice of Action (receipt) from USCIS. It usually takes them 30 days from the time you sent the application to get a receipt. If it's been more than 30 days you should called to file an inquiry.

Thanks for the reply, my service center is Nebraska, and yes I am over 18, that’s why I filed n400 for citizenship, my parents, did received the initial receipt number and finger print receipt, but I didn't received any initial receipt, but my check has been cashed, I got the receipt number from the cashed checked, but when I check status online, its saying Status for this Receipt Number cannot be found, should I call the national customer service call center?, please help as I am very much concerned.

When did you apply? Has it been more than 30 days since you applied?. If so, you should call them to file an inquiry. If not, you might be wasting your time calling them. Depending on the person you reach at the Customer Service Center, they might just tell you to wait. Some will be nice and helpful, others will tell you to wait.

Good luck,
