I found there're no more new RFE or Transfers sent for Dec cases.
Only second RFE for RFE cases, or transfer of RFE cases.

That could mean all 485 cases have been reviewed initially. And many have been approved conditionally. Either waiting security check(I doubt this is the issue) or 2nd FP.

For most Nov/Dec/Jan RD waiters, the main problem is 2nd FP is not sent out, approval can not be finalized. But I can say those kind of cases have been reviewed already. Just wait for 2nd FP
done.

So if you haven't received anything yet, very likley your case has been reviewed and is okay. No RFE needed, no Transfer needed.
Just hold on for 2nd fp issued to you.

What do you predict from this response received from senator office, my RD is 10/01/01 which is almost 24 months now, so far nothing, 2nd FP scheduled in 3rd week of October.

Your “A-File” and your “Temporary-File” have been consolidated at the B.C.I.S. Your new “A Number” is [XXX-XX-XXXX]. Additionally, you have been scheduled for a new fingerprinting appointment.

Lastly, please contact this office when your fingerprints have been completed so that we can inform the Congressional Liaison at the B.C.I.S. After the B.C.I.S. has been informed, your file will be forwarded to a B.C.I.S. Adjudications Officer for final review and determination.

forum123, your problem is your have two Alien numbers in their system. I don't know how this happened. Yes, if you have two alien numbers, they have to consolidated it, and it takes several months.

Your case however, could be reviewed already, they may write something on your package. "initial reviewed, waiting consolidation".

After you complete 2nd fp, allow sometime for them to approve your case, they need run IBIS check again. But since Oct they will started work on 485 cases, maybe you won't need wait 2 more months.

Can you tell us which senator you contacted

Yes, this 2 Alien number concept has definitely caused delay as the same office told me almost 3 months back that BCIS 'IS' in process of consolidating and last week I was told that they 'COMPLETED' the consolidation, this is probably the reason I got the 2nd FP.

What are my chances of getting RFE, transfer etc? any ideas.

I contacted Sen. Corzine, NJ, his office is really very very helpful, I mean they respond very quickly and professionally.

Some posts on this forum said the 2nd FP is not mandatory. If it is a policy in USCIS SOP but not a U.S. law it can be implemented at adjudicators' discretion. BCIS director can override the SOP polices anytime (is there a memo on this 15 month FP validation?). We have seen many people got approved long after their 1st FP expired without 2nd FP.

"So if you haven't received anything yet, very likely" BCIS is not working on it. Once they allocate necessary resources on EB 485s, the 2001 cases should be cleared in no time. Just hold on for BCIS to speed up the whole thing (I would not wish for the 2nd FP if I were you).

I think they have reviewed your case while the consolidation happen, that why the letter mentioned "final review". I don't think you'll get RFE or Transfer any more. You will be approved soon.

Ask Congressman office if your case has been reviewed initially.
They can know it.

I contacted Senator Corzine, I had also contacted my local Congressman and believe me that was a nightmare, they were totally incompetent, initially my thought was that Congressman will prove more helpful as they have lesser responsibilities but it is the other way around, I have contacted congressman 3 times and all the 3 times I was told we will respond and till date nothing, on the other way Senator's office responds sometime in matter of hours......

I did not specifically ask about the review as I was not aware about this, I will ask that when I do my 2nd FP, I will do the 2nd FP as scheduled as todays approval of 'VijayRC' confirms the fact that doing 'early' FP does not guarantee early approval as his case took approx. 1 /12 moths from his schedules date....

Yes, seems every office is different on this matter. I contacted my congressman, and their office refused to answer my phone these days. I can not get an update. I want to try senator's office.

some stupid Massachusetts congressman, their office said will call me back, but never. After I called serveral times, it's always "not available"
