Hi friends,

I am posting this thread to let you guys know that after 3 rejections in last seven years, my mother got her visitor visa in Feb this year. Until now, her status and family situations were not favoring her to get the visa. She is a widowed and her both kids (myself and my sister) live outside of India. She is living all by herself.

This time, we did things little differently. We hired an agent who helped to prepare all the documents and also provided some interview techniques to my mother which really boosted her confidence.

Secondly, I approached local senator and a congresswoman who sent a letter of support to the US embassy.

She carried all the documents which are normally required for the visitor visa.

At the consulate, they did not even check a single document and asked few questions and then gave her a visa.

Offcourse, we prayed a lot to God this time. I am a big believer in God.

Hope this information helps people in a similar situations.

Thanks,

Congratulations. I hope she has a wonderful time visiting you in the US :)

What kind of Interview techniques and also what documents did she carry. I am ina similar situation with my M in law.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

please help ..

I have a similar situation, can you help me give some more details.

My mother is a widow and she has 4 rejections. We live near Delhi.

Me and my brother, both live here in US.

I personally would never hire these agents. Something tells me they are up to no good. Unless something fraudulent is involved, I cannot see how they can help an individual overcome 214(b). This is my personal opinion, so treat it as such.

This guy said they hired an agent who did some paperwork.

Guys, I am very sorry to get back on your queries bit late.

We simply hired an agent who helped with all the paperwork such as filling a form, preparing documents such as property sheet etc. He gave us a list of all the documents required from both sides. He booked the interview date. He also gave some tips to my mother to answer the questions in the interview based on his past experience with other candidates who successfully cleared interview and got visa thru him. Let me tell you guys, he is not a magician nor he bribes anybody in the consulate. his fee is only Rs.4500. It really helped to keep my mother positive during her interview.

Another thing might have helped is support letters from local senator and congressman.

Ofcourse luck is also one of the most important factors.

Good luck guys.

I guess the agent is someone familiar with the process and uses this knowledge to make a lot of money ...
I agree with Triple Citizen - I would never hire these AGENTS .

well, seems like this Agent guy is helping out people with his personal knowledge about how to approach the interview process. There's no fraudulent or superhuman activity involved in it. He probably gives advise about how to prepare certain documents in such a way so as to satisfy the officer that the applicant has strong connections with the native country. Same with the interview questions. This is more like Coaching business. Nothing wrong with it. People can benefit from his experience & knowledge in legal ways.
