My Mom's Green card expired,how can i call her back to US

Hi Guildies.
Can anyone guide me how can i call my mom back to US .SHe left US in 2005 she had a green card and as of now green card expire. My dad passed away month ago so my mom is alone and i need to call her ASAP to me here in US.
ANy advise will be greatly appreciate .

Normally the green card is invalidated by spending more than one year outside the US (or 2 years with a reentry permit).

She's been outside the US about 7 years, so her green card is useless.

She will need to start over, applying for a fresh new green card. If you are a US citizen you can file an immigrant petition for her.

Thats scary that she can not get medical insurance from state.Am in CA but when she was here before she had a medical.Now how come did they changed law or something. She is 75 and has severe Asthma problem. I also heard that if they more than 65 they can get medical from state even though they never work for state.

People 65 and older who have worked and paid taxes in the US for 10 years (or their spouse worked for 10 years in the US) would qualify for Medicare.

Outside of Medicare, there is almost nothing available for people over 65 who are not working, and whatever is available is really expensive.

So, you mean to say- The Tax payers money has to be spent for some ones medical traetment, who never worked, never paid Taxes, or even could not keepup her GC in USA?
When you apply for GC you send an AOS stating that you will be responsible for all her needs. I know for a fact that in State of CA, when you go to the Wellfare office ,if the officer finds out that she is on GC,he can ask her to fill out a form which requires all the details of the person who sponsered her, includung the financial ststus and the living address , in this case which would be U.
I know lot of people are miss using the system, try no to do it.
And i would request to every one in the Forum not to support ot suggest any thing to topics related to issues like this.
