Hello All,

My lawyer disappeared and i dont know what to do? please help.

here is my situation:

485 pending (it passed already 180 days). they took my first finger print 2 months ago. and still no respond. Right now, im working on ead and i changed my job (ac21) and also my home address, and working for the new company for over a month and still working at the same company. Job title and salary is still same. i didnt send anything to the USCIS about my job changing and address changing (im still in the same state)
Q1. should i need to inform USCIS about my job/address changing ? or is it better to wait till they want me to come to an interview?

Since i cant contact with my greencard sponsor company ( my GC Company moved another state and i dont have their contact numbers or anything.),
Q2. in case of an interview, what should i need to do?
is it enough to bring a job offer letter, pay checks, same position/title proof,
from my new company? what else they might want to see ? do they ask any documents or anything else from my GC soponsor company? (they didnt revoke my 140)

I wasnt too much interested about paper works since my lawyer was doing all the paper works. Right now i cant find my attorney, and i dont know where he is. His office's phones are not answering., I went to his office and it is closed.
So far i have only receipts for EAD , travel documents, receipts for my second ead, and receipts for finger print notice of i-485, and a case number for 485 pending.
i dont have 140 receipt if is there any ? (i dont know if it is approved or not. Last time when i talked to my lawyer he told me that i can apply for ac21.) and also i dont have my labor certification receipt.
Q3. is there any way to get these (140 and labor certification) receipts?

Q4. If i cant get my 485 approved, can i apply another 140-485 case through my new company for green card? In that case should i get another labor certification for the new company even if the position and the salary is still same?

Q5. if i want to hire another attorney, should i need to these receipts (140 and labor certifications) or anything else ?

Please Help! I dont know what to do other then waiting USCIS' s online email notification for my 485 case.

Thanks for all replies.

Job title and salary is still same. i didnt send anything to the USCIS about my job changing and address changing (im still in the same state)

---------------- if your residence is same no need to file AR11 if you changed your residence then file form AR11 and also send letter to your service center with your name, A#, DOB, I-485 reciept # and copy of I-485 reciept and request that your address on pending I-485 should be changed send the letter to USCIS where I-485 is pending with certified mail and out side the envelpoe write ATT: address change on pending I-485
Q1. should i need to inform USCIS about my job/address changing ? or is it better to wait till they want me to come to an interview?
--------- if you changed address file form AR11 and do the above also, it not must that they will call you for interview if your file is not trasfred to local USCIS office

Since i cant contact with my greencard sponsor company ( my GC Company moved another state and i dont have their contact numbers or anything.),
Q2. in case of an interview, what should i need to do?

------------ if your I-140 is approved and I-485 pending more than 180 days better invoke AC21 and let the USCIS know
is it enough to bring a job offer letter, pay checks, same position/title proof,
from my new company?
--------- yes, if your file is trasfred to local office for Interview and provide the new employer permanent job offer letter after I-485 approval with same/similar job duties at the time of Interview and request for AC21
what else they might want to see ? do they ask any documents or anything else from my GC soponsor company? (they didnt revoke my 140)
--------- if your I-140 is not revoked then they will send list of documents to bring at the time of Interview it will include 3-4 recent pay stubs, W-2 for 3 years I-94, all EAD and AP, 3 years tax filing records, birth certificate/ marriage certificate, employer job offer letter 2 passport photographs, DL, passport and interview notice ( make the copy of tax filing, pay stubs, BC, marriage certificate W-2
I wasnt too much interested about paper works since my lawyer was doing all the paper works. Right now i cant find my attorney, and i dont know where he is. His office's phones are not answering., I went to his office and it is closed.

----------- you CAN hire your lawyer, provide him I-485 filing reciept and file transfer notice and fill up form G28 with him OR write to USCIS that past Lawyer XYZ no more represent you and they should send all the info directly to YOU on your address..........
So far i have only receipts for EAD , travel documents, receipts for my second ead, and receipts for finger print notice of i-485, and a case number for 485 pending.
i dont have 140 receipt if is there any ? (i dont know if it is approved or not.
------------ I-140 filing reciept will be with lawyer who filed I-140 or with employer who filed I-140
Last time when i talked to my lawyer he told me that i can apply for ac21.) and also i dont have my labor certification receipt.
---------- for AC21, LC reciept or I-140 approval is not needed.
Q3. is there any way to get these (140 and labor certification) receipts?
------------ you can try FOIA
Q4. If i cant get my 485 approved, can i apply another 140-485 case through my new company for green card?
-------------------- YES, if they have LC approved for you or any approved LC that can be used for you
In that case should i get another labor certification for the new company even if the position and the salary is still same?
-----------YES
Q5. if i want to hire another attorney, should i need to these receipts (140 and labor certifications) or anything else ?
------------ I-485 filing reciept is enough
Please Help! I dont know what to do other then waiting USCIS' s online email notification for my 485 case.

Thanks for all replies.

have you signed up at USCIS' online system? It should show the results of the fingerprint a few days after you went there, plus other relevant status updates.
