My lawyer cracked me up!!

I am not sure if I am going cuckoo or so but I just got an email from my lawyer when I inquired about my case and he cracked me up with his toddler reply. How did I end up with this dingbat? Oh boy, I must be going loony.....:D :mad: :confused: :eek: :) :( :o :p ;) :rolleyes: Boy, am I glad that I still have my sense of humor left!!

Eek! I am going bed-by! <Yawn> Tomorrow shall be a better day for all of us!

Pretty much when I asked him to inquire on my behalf with NSC on my case. There has been a huge disparity of approval dates for those filed with me and had their approvals. Since I can't get anything out of the IIO when I call, and I requested him to do that and he told me to go take a happy pill and wait in La-la land. Don't worry, be happy, stay dopey! :D :mad: :mad: :mad: What did my company pay him for?

So, I am going to take those happy pill and chill out unless I am frut chilling out and may go talk to some Senators.

Last week even i asked my Lawyers to follow up with NSC.

In my case atleast they went ahead and inquired about my case.
The reply which I got from the lawyers was "It is
alright, but it is still pending"

The same old bullshit..............................!

unless you've already done so and i missed it, why don't you go ahead and post what your lawyer had to say. god knows we wouldn't mind a good laugh...
 
attorneys in general are idiots,and immigration

attorneys more so.They are all citizens themselves,and most
are naturalized citizens,come to the US on FB immigration
They dont give a rat's tail on EB people,and are incompetent idiots.
My law firm (if and when I get my GC,I shall name the firm,and take steps to make their life hell)
is a reputed one,and full of incompetent idiots,who have done everything they can to mess up not only my case,but people's cases in general.

So ..my advice to people who wish to apply I-485 (and not the prior stages),but I-485,is to go thru it WITHOUT an attorney

A raw nerve..

Guys,

Lawyer screw ups have delayed my 485 by about 4 months. First the person handling my case quit and did not hand over my file which was in limbo and than it was sent to the wrong service center. Thats life, I guess.
 
dont agree with u bud...

that's not life...life is having an accident out of the blue,or getting ill or the columbia disaster..what happened to u (and very simialr stuff has happened to me with my lawyers) is something in ur life ,totally being controlled by someone else.

We are in a strange situation,and if and when we get r GCs,we shd not be complacent,and let people who played around with r stuff know what repurcussions their actions have.

Everyone should be accountable for their deliverables
Isnt that what happens at most tech workplaces??

These are just my views...so dont take anything personally..

That is true. My idiot lawyer filed my I-140 for CP while they knew I was going 100% for AOS. My I-485 could be easily delayed for 3 months just because of this.

The first time they messed up I got so angry that it messed up my health. The easiest thing for my company to do is ask me to grin and bear it. We are expected to perform and deliver at the highest levels with initiative but behave like a bunch of spineless people when it comes to immigration. They are not going to pull up the lawyers. The second time around I just took it lying down. You are right about taking action once we are in the safe zone. When I say thats life it is only meant to console myself that my day will come soon.

Hi Guys,

I know its very easy for us to say, lets wait till we get the GC and then take action against incompetent lawyers and company legal deptartment handling immigration issue...but the sad thing is someone else will get screwed if we dont make a statement or raise the issue.

My personal opinion...but I did raise my voice and caused the immigration person at my company to be repremanded for her stupid behaviour...I know she probably spits on my file everyday :)...I am sure she also was behind the fact that suprisingly my RFE was received by the lawyer on the 14th day after it was sent...and a lot of other suprises with my file....BUT I feel good that I said something about her incompetence.... :) :)

My two cents :)
 
I'm glad I didn't hire a lawyer. I did it on my own. Yes we have an RFE pending approval; but its probably something a lawyer would have missed to. At least I'm not out 5-10K.
