my interview experience at San Jose office

Please let's all stop hijacking this thread. I think it would be better if each one opens his/her own thread with one question. Otherwise this is becoming unmanageable ;)

Update: finally got my oath letter today! IO at interview said he would send it before the end of the week, but it look 3 weeks... oh well, glad to have it, finally!! In 16 days I should be a citizen.

Coincidentally, I just made an Infopass appt this morning because I started getting impatient waiting for the interview decision. Then I get home and find the oath letter! This is the second time I got impatient with USCIS and followed up, only to find their letter in the mail the next day.

Looks like my misdemeanor arrest did not get too much in the way... there is hope after all.

There is room for potential slowdowns since this incident still falls in the last 5 year window.

Triple,

I wanted to see what is in your garage, I have always seen your website, but never gave it a thought. I am working from home, so I thought I could take a peek. What is theaccess code, I tried using Shane Warne to enter..:D

Congrats for your OATH letter.

I had interview yesterday and this is how it went (Milwaukee Office)

Office was a nice Lady

passed civics and english and then she asked me if have ever been arrested and I said yes (I was arrested for DUI in wisconsin just 2 month before the interview. No probation ony fine and AA). She asked me if i have paid the fines and i said yes and then she asked me if I am on probation and I said therre is no probation in WI and then told me that I have passed history and english but she can not make any decision on the case and have to approach supervisor review and i will know get a written decision in 60 days. She took my new photograps and my court disposition document and asked if i would like to change my name. She also aked me if I woule like to say anything about my Arrest. I said that this is a judgemental error and I am not very proud of it and said this is my first offence.

She said that she will annotate this when she send my case for review.

I said thanks for your time and she said thank you have a good day.

That's all folks and I am waiting to see some thing in mail box some time next month. I am not counting on a approval since this is catch all provision with INS :)

in WI first dui is not even a misdemeanor it is a regulatory offence but INS interprets these things differently.
