I had my interview today at Norfolk. Everything went as planned. I applied on the basis of 4 Years + 1 Day. My Interview lasted for about 35 minutes. I was given the N-652. Also to my surprise, I was handed my Oath Ceremony letter for August 2005. This is awesome. :)

Looks like Norfolk is speeding up....After I receive my Citizenship in August 2005, it would have taken Norfolk approx 10 months to process my case.

it is a great news!
Congrat!

Congratulations.

When you applied 4+1 day, did you need to bring documents as evidence of your intent or ties to the US while you were out of the US? I just want to be prepared in case this comes up since I am also applying based on 4+1. Thanks!

Yes.. I did take papers to prove my intent... Its preferable you take all relevant papers rather than going back again with the necessary papers.

Congratulations on your speedy processing & oath in Norfolk!!

Since I will be filing from Norfolk very soon , I was wondering if you could tell me something more about the interview . Was it just going thru the n400 application & information ? Did the officer look at the passport & verified entry/exit dates( I have some issue with entry dates on my passport) .
Any information out of the ordinary or insight into the overall experience
could help !! I know that there will be difeerent interview officers at any given day but norfolk being a small DO , I guess there are not many people
taking interviews. Also , are u from the asian subcontinent (India??) .

Thanks & good luck

Bashar82.. Hang in there my friend ..ur oath letter will be coming very soon,,,

Kash_K5, I am from the Indian subcontinent. The officer who interviewed, did not check my entry/exit dates on my passport.

Infact I had some errors that needed to be corrected on my arrival and departure dates compared to what I had orginally filled in on the application. I told him where my mistakes were and he corrected them on the N400 orginally submitted.

I can only say one thing.. my officer was an angel.. very polite.. very humble.. GOD BLESS HIM....

Also another thing that I did observe was most of the people were given their Oath letters as they left. So this was something that was not only done for me but for the rest whose had passed their interview.

Did the officer ask to see any other document you had (i.e. ties to US etc.)? It seems the interview was very smooth.
