What a relieve...:)
After seeing so many approved cases around my RD approved... I got excited... so I checked my case this morning... Guess what... it's approved too. Here is my details:

I485 RD Dec. 17, 2001
I485 ND Dec. 19, 2001
I485 AD Mar. 16, 2004

BTW, I have a pending 3rd EAD case which was filed on RD/ND Jan 28, 2004 online. My current one will expire on Apr. 1st(I forgot to renew it on time.:p)... I was worried... but not anymore...:D

Hope everybody here will get the approval soon... You guys have being so great and so helpful... the forum has follows me every step in the long GC pursuing journey... I thought at least I can share the great news with everybody who supports the forum here, I am so grateful to you guys...

Sorry for this basic question, what dates are RD and ND ?
I am quite desperate :(
My I-485 was received by INS on 2001/09 I know it from the
returned check but never got the receipt in the mail. I did fingerprints last year in april. Renewed EAD 2 times. Filed 3rd
one late and probably will not get it before expiration of current one. But I am currently unemployed. What are the odds of being asked for proof of employement ?
Will I get a RFE ?

Someone please answer me.

RD : Receipt Date
ND : Notice Date

RD is the date on which TSC received your application.
ND is the date on which TSC sent you the receipt notice.
Check on the receipt you received from TSC - it should have both these dates.

oneginee,

Your chances of receiving (or not) of an RFE or interview are pretty much even. If the officer adjudicating your case feels the need to get the latest empl. letter or transfer the case to a local office for interview, he/she will do so. Going by the trend lately, its tough to make that call. For all you know, you might just getting the approval without anything.

Nothing to get desperate about.

In the meanwhile, try your best to get a job ... even a temporary one as a consultant or some sort and be on a payroll asap. But again, don't get desperate. Things will work out just fine.

Good luck in your job search.

Try to get from the employer for whom you worked

Oneginee:

Try to be in the good books of the employer for whom you worked.

Explain to them. They can give it if there is a future opportunity also. It worked in one of my friends case. Its not a desi company though. They gave him the letter after he was laid off for more than 5 months.

Good luck. Be positive.

Cary6,

I had not tought of that. Did your friend have to show paychecks too or was the empl. offer letter enough ?
