My H1 transfer affecting wife's H1 processing?

Hi,

I am currently on H1B status , valid till Apr 2008. my wife is on H4 visa . We have applied for a new H1 for my wife [The processing will start from 1st April 2007].

Now, I am planning to change my job which would require my H1B transfer. Correspondingly my wife's H4 should also be transfered to reflect my new employer.

If this H4 transfer is done, will that affect the H-1 application for my wife ?
Do i need to notify this to INS while they are processing my wife's application?

Is it safe for me to change job now ?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

--------------- if she has valid H4 visa stamp and valid I-94 till Apr 2008, you dont need to file her H4 with your H1 transfer. her H4 is tied to your H1 status. if you feel that your H1 transfer will be valid more than Apr 2008 then file her H4 with your H1 so that you both have same I-94 expiry date.
If this H4 transfer is done, will that affect the H-1 application for my wife ?
-------------her employer filed NEW H1 for her and start date will be Oct 1 2007. Her H4 extension or filing H4 with your H1 Transfer will have no affect on new H-1 application of your wife.
