Hello Everybody !!
Atlast, I heard the magic words that my I-485 was approved on Jul,16th.
Spouse\'s I-485 also approved on the same day. Here are my details:

1. EB3 / India / Regular / Masters degree (been working in IT from 1988)
2. Priority Date -- April, 1996 (came to US in 94)
3. State labour (MI) completed April, 1997 -- normal duration
4. Regional Labor (Chicago) -- May, 1998 -- almost normal duration
5. I-140 approved in July, 1998 (the I-140 had an incorrect PD of
                                  April, 1998. Talked to the lawyer
                                  and he said that it will not be an issue)
6. Waited till July, 1999 to apply for I-485
    The application was sent back stating that the PD on I-140
    is not current.

    Lawyer refiled the application with supporting documents. Was
    accepted but never acted upon.

7. Even after inumerable requests for processing, nothing happened.
    NO PROGRESS till May, 2001, when the incorrect PD of April, 98
    became current.

8. Received finger print notices in May, 2001 (2 years after filing
    I-485).
9. Did FP on Jun, 21st, 2001
10. Approval Date -- July, 16th 2001. NO RFE.

Luckily, I was on bench for only half a day during the last 6 years.

Dear 6thYearNSC,

Congratulations. Enjoy. Take a month long vacation.
I have never been on bench since 1994.
But I am coming to bench this month end after
having been with a Big company
for 6 years and 1 month. Just because of Bad ECONOMY. Nothing else.
Details:
PD 2/97, RD 12/19/00, ND 01/02/01, FP 04/01.
Luckily now, I have passed 180 days after I485 to use AC21 if
in case of a crisis.
Having worked for this country nearly 8 years, I am still
not settled. Don\'t even have a Home. Still living in Apartment.
Lost all money in stock market!
God, please show me the light in life!.
The only happy moment of my life so far in US is
my 3 year old son, a US Citizen. I love him!

Congrats !.I thought I was the oldest PD record holder. You beat me by one month. My PD is May 96 and ND Sep 00 still waiting. Anybody out there older than me ? Hope not.
