My Exp travelling on AP

I got back today(Sep 29th) on AP. I travelled to India on a emergency. I applied for EAD/AP & 485 on Jul 2 & left for India on 4th Sep. My AP & EAD got approved on 10th when I was India. At the POE officer asked last 4 digits of my SSN & parent's name for my wife(since she ddoesn't have one). It took less than 5 mins for the entire process. He gave us the new I94 & we are out. I thought this might be useful for some folks who want to travel before AP approval.
 
we got our approved parole today based on 485. our POE is wash dc dulles. I would appreciate if someone can tell me apart from those approved 512L do we need any other documnet or letter to the inspecting officer? in any case I am takingoriginals of all 485 papers.
 
I was told by my laywer that you are expected to show them the AP & 485 receipt. If you travel on a emergency or for any other reason, have the right documentation to prove the purpose of your trip. However, I was not asked for anything other than AP. I think my case is an exception than a rule.

Does that mean we can travel before the AP approval and can come back after we recvd approved Ap

for IAD:

1. stand in the non immigrant line
2. Meet the officer,finger priting,photo and few questions regarding your travel and what you are bringing in.
3. Collect your bagage and stand in the line for the secondary inspection.. some time it can be big line too... if you have question ask any immigration officer and they will help you to the right counter..
4. Give your passport and one AP to the officer and the officer stamp your I-94 and passport and you can leave..
5. While you leave give your custom form to the officer who is at the exit
6.Go out and take a cab or drive home safely.. ..

What is the validity of the I-94 given? Is it dependent on the AP.
 
Thank you everybody who gave their valuable experience and information. this helps alot the person who is going to travel india.

You are not treated different due to your "emergency travel".

I've used AP about 10 times now and have not been asked any weird questions.
Earlier they used to have secondary inspection but in my last visit [via O'Hare] there was no secondary inspection.
