Just got 4 emails from INS- 2 for each my and wife's cases,
stating that
"This case has been approved. On July 12, 2004,
an approval notice was mailed. ..."
Checked online status- reads the same...
Cant believe it- going for a really cold shower
and then will check again to make sure it is real,
and not a deceiving dream produced by my
desperate brain...

WAC-03-135
EB1 485 RD/ND 03/03
1 FP- 05/03
LUD's on 06/29, 07/02(no status change), 07/13(status change to apporved)
no RFE on 485
2 AP/EAD's
almost 2 years and 3 RFE's on 140 because of a dishonest lawyer,
hired my own for 485 after 3 months "fight" with the HR
non concurent
no faxes, emails sent

Wish all of you guys fast approvals,
know many are still waiting much longer
than me, but keep the faith- they are
clearing the damn backlogs and I am
sure everyone will enjoy freedom rather
sooner...

Thanks to all the gurus for the advice and the
(legal) action.

my case has the same LUD (6/29 and 7/2) except 7/13. Is my case going to be approved soon?

Just to share my experience after that:
Both the lawer and I got the paper approval notices 3 days
after the change in the online status. Went for stamping at
the Chula Vista office yesterday(07/20) about 1:30 PM, because
the USCIS web site says that whoever gets in before 2PM(when they
close), will be served the same day, and I am not the "early bird"
kind of. When I got in, I waited about may be 15-20 min to get a number.
With the number, was told that they need a copy of my driving license,
to go get one. There is a photo outside, across the street, and they do
that as well. Costs 38 cents. The current serving number was 275, and I
was 312. Remember another member mentioned that he got there at 6AM or
something and when got in at 7AM(when they open), was number 40- seems
that in the morning and afternoon there is no much difference in the wait
times. Waited for about 2hrs. The officer took the drivers license copy,
the approval notice (i gave the courtesy copy, so i still have the original
just in case) and the 2 photos. Asked me to sign some form, took my figerprint
on the same form, removed the I-94's (had 2) from my passport and put a stamp
in it. Did not ask me for AP or EAD at all.

Wish good luck and fast approvals to everyone !

Yours is most likely coming anytime now. The fact that you got
RFE means they are working on it. I am in the IT, but I dont
think thats what matters to them. Wish you quick approval soon.

Even though our cases were just approved as well, still feel a bit sour and a bit bitter uponing seeing your good news. Enjoy your freedom!
