Hello
Well, I went to my Oath Ceremony Yesterday morning. I am now officially a citizen, it feels so good to have all of the paperwork, worry , anticipation and frusteration finally over! The ceremony went very good. It was a little unorganized but I think that was because of its large size, there were 665 people from some 63 countries. It said to arrive there at 9:00 sharp, but the actual ceremony didnt start until 11:00. We were checked at the door by an officer and he asked for the GC as well as our Oath letter, he then told us to go to a table where our certificates were waiting with another officer and we were asked to see if everything on it was correct. At which point we were ushered into the big auditorium to await the ceremony. It started at 11:00 and lasted until 12:00. Each country was asked to stand and be recognized, we said the oath, pledge of allegiance there were a few keynote speakers and that was that. Ushered out to the table in which we got our certificates picked them up and yah AMERICAN CITIZEN!! There is also the option of getting your passport done there that day. I opted not to .....
