I have no idea
I have no idea what helped or if anything helped at all.
My case is almost an example of straightforwardness, no turns, no
twists.
Same company, well established company ( no, not a bodyshop , its a
technology company ), good financial records, everything was well
documented, one of the most famous and best known Immigration Law
Firms, education from school of utmost repute, always in status and never
in any bad status, Name Check completed in Dec 2002 and Jan 2003,
never a job change.
It was a wonder what took them so long.
I had however worded a very very stongly worded ( it was just a para
rubbishing the insanity of USCIS ) letter to the Ombudsman very lately.
His office responded to me saying they have started to take it up with
USCIS. Within days, USCIS' application proc unit at Wash DC sent me a
letter saying how it was at the very last stages etc and how apologetic
they were ( note this came from Wash DC, not Vermont ).
My expedite request was trashed saying they ( Vermont ) are confident of
handling it within NORMAL PROCESSING TIME !!!!!!! Normal Processing
Time ??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was just about ready to send a 2nd Expedite Request telling them how insane it was for them to mention Normal Proc Time. This time I was
also ready to offer them a veiled threat of Mandamus of Action if they
didn't respond/expedite.
Someone asked me again if I would now be ready for a bout of Hunger
Strike. My answer is ...yes buddy ..I am game. Let's get some critical
mass, I won't be found wanting. I think this agency needs critical
repair for itself, for this country and of course for us too, for all.
