My case is approved while primary is pending. Is this possible?

My 485 is approved. I checked the status online and the message said an approval notice was mailed on Sep 27. Yet to receive in mail. However, my husband's status is still pending. He is the primary applicant. We had an RFE for both and they have received our reposnses. As soon as they received our responses, my status changed to Approved but my husband's says
"We received your response....Its taking between 660 and 660 days..."

Have they not updated it in the system for him? Has this happened to anyone? I guess they might send the approval notice through mail for both of us. Very anxious, can't wait to see the approval notices!!!

its this quite normal..primary and dependent cases are adjudicated
seperately.

Some joint cases are adjudicated at the same time. Mine and my wife's approvals ran concurrently. In theory, the approval of the derivative DEPENDS on the approval of the primary, as the derivative only benefits if the primary is approved (that is the basis of both adjudications) and typically the primary has supplied an affidavit of support.
