My case...help!

I am on an L1 which will expire (first 3 years) in July. I just got my I-797 renewal approval but I have to wait and go to the consulate in Mexico for visa stamping not before than 10 days of expiration date.
I-140 and I-485 were filed concurrently in Jun/03. I 140 approved in Oct/03.
Now, if I am laid off, and in order to get another similar job, may I?:

1) To continue using my L1?
2) To apply for and get an EAD?
3) To keep my L1 and apply simultaneously for EAD?
4) How can I travel outside of the U.S. L1? AP?

Thanks for your help

----- yes, if you have valid L1 approval
2) To apply for and get an EAD?
---yes
3) To keep my L1 and apply simultaneously for EAD?
----- yes
4) How can I travel outside of the U.S. L1? AP?
----- with valid L1 VISA stamp or voth Valid AP you can enter US . if want to use AP then apply AP when you are IN US and get AP approved in hand before you depart US, remember AP is taking 5-6 months to get approved. EAD must be filed and you may get EAD in 3-4 months.
Thanks for your help
