Guys:
Any clues on how long does it take for the file tranfers and also setting up of an appointment.

I have checked my status on the phone and it mentions that my case has been transfered to the local INS office @SFO and i will get a letter from them about scheduling an interview.

Does anyone in the forum know the current status of these dates and how long does this take, etc.

I would really appreciate your feedback. Also, do i have to take an attorney with me for this or no.

GC my friend...

Do you mind giving the details of your case like WAC (encrypted), RD, ND, FP date, RFE(if Applicable), Anything else will be helpful...

One way I can say it is helpful as your case will move in the SFO center as "Bamana" got approved even in the lull period.

Hey my good wishes and good luck with u.../

Everything will be fine. Actaually I work very close to INS sfo and I hate their site.

:)

As I can see on this board that interview call from SFO is taking between 5-8 months. I know my case took six months. Mine was transferred in Dec'01 and interview held in June'02. But if you are lucky enough you can get a interview call with in 3 months also, so keep your finger cross and relax.

Good luck

Picked from another thread for GCVIJ

RD/ND
my EAD RD/ND are

RD- 12/02
ND- 12/09

GCvij I wish you good luck for your interview (hope it will be scheduled soon)..

If GCvij dates RD/ND are 12/02, 12/09 then probably it is kind of good news for other people with Dec ND cases! Note that based on our observations most of the times CSC processes cases based on ND month and so far they didn't pick up any Dec ND case. Now GCviji got transfer to local office means two things to me...
1. They are picking up cases of Dec. ND month.
2. Even though officially CSC is busy with TPS cases (thought that no one is going to look into AOS caes at all until they finish TPS cases), still some officers are pickingup/processing AOS cases too...

Pcee:

I believe those dates are his EAD renewal application dates
as 12/02/02 and 12/09/02...

Hey GC Vij correct me if you can...

vipsha ....

Vipsha:
Do u you think that i should wait for an appointment date or can i go straight away and stand in the line for non-apontments.

I was planning of going to the INs for an interview after i get my notice of file transfer.

Could anyone in this forum confirm, ifthis is possible or anyone as tried this out.

Thankx

Its a nice innovative Idea, but GCvij this type of ideas does not work in case of CSC and that is too in SFO.

Q. Do u you think that I should wait for an appointment date or can I go straight away and stand in the line for non-apontments.
A. You are free to do experiment and there is nothing to loose except some Time. But chances of success are very very low. Reasons
- Where you will go in local INS, I mean which flr ?
- Who will take your interview, since they have to pull your file and IIO has to check all the papers in your file and then they will send you a interview letter saying what docs you need to bring.
- Since you don't have interview letter so IIO will not call you to his room for interview, since letter will come from officer who will take your interview.
- You don't know that your file is actually in there at local INS or still in CSC, since case transfer does not mean(100%) that CSC have transferred your file physically to local INS.

I was planning of going to the INs for an interview after I get my notice of file transfer.

You will not be getting notice saying that your file has been transferred it will saying your case has been transferred. And there is a difference in case and file.

Could anyone in this forum confirm, if this is possible or anyone as tried this out.

I have not heard of anybody doing this or tried this or think of.

But try it there is nothing to loose.
