Finally my 4 & 1/2 years GC saga is over.
PD : 11/1997, RD-04/11/01 ND-06/11/01 FP-11/08/01 AD-03/07/02
Lived in MA. FP done in Manchester, NH
And Stamped today ..

Here the story goes :

- Reached Boston INS (JFK building) at 07:45
- Stood in long line (Cool weather).
- After 30-40 mins, gone thru security check.
- Got I-551(I am not sure) doc from the counter (Opposite to Security).
They took Signature & Index finger print and gave back it to me.
(We should not fill any part of this document)
- Stood in another line for 15 mins (On the Right side of Security)
- On my turn, Officer asked my Passport, Approval letter,Pictures and
EAD / Advance Paroll, if any
Suggested for last name correction. She made a note on Approval Letter.
- Stapled Passport, Approval letter,Pictures together and Stamped on Passport. (This process has taken 2 mins).
- And said "You are now Permanent Resident and can travel .. blah "

Earlier I was under the impression that we need to collect token(number)
and wait for our Turn after standing in line. But Officer stamps passport on your turn when you are in line.

Stamping on Passport takes 2 minutes ..

Now my Plastic Card wait starts ..

Bye..

Congrats !!

That was hell of a wait. Hard times build character.
Patience pays. Enjoy your freedom.
