Hi,
sorry for posting this a little late. My Ac21 case was approved on 3/11/04 and we have done passport stamping on 3/19/04. I changed employers few months back, from consulting company to the client company. I filed AC21 paper work while changing companies.

My case details:
Nebraska Service Center
LIN 02-150-XXXXX
RD: 03/15/2002
RFE: None. Filed AC21 paperwork while changing companies.
I140: Approved in Dec 2001.
EAD: Just got 3rd EAD. INS took all our EADs during stamping.
AP: 3rd AP application pending. I am not sure what happens to it now.
FP: 2nd FP done in Nov '03.
Rupnet: Updated last week.

Thanks and good luck to you all,
-ramesh

Is your new company from Nebraska Zone

GRamesh,

Is your new company from the area covered by Nebraska Service Centre.

I am asking to confirm whether I can join the company from VSC zone when my I485 is pending in NSC with AC21 portability, but without transferring the case to VSC.

Congrats

Congratulations.

When did you do your Paperwork, Did you do it after your Finger Printing Notice ?

I have submitted Ac21 paperwork while changing companies. We received finger print notices few days after that. At that time I was wondering whether my paper work triggered anything that caused finger print notices issuance.

Both my old company and new company are in NSC territory.

thanks,
-ramesh

ac21

guys, is it necessary to file AC21 paperwork. I'm planning to change my employer too so was wandering if it is really necessary to file these AC21 papers.
I'd read in one of the post that do not submit the AC21 papers until you get an RFE. Also my lawyer said the same thing to me :(
thanks

solannumberone,
in my case my lawyer gave me 2 options. One is not to submit Ac21 paperwork but wait for an RFE. He said it is O.K to do that. The other option he suggested is to be proactive and submit AC21 paperwork while changing companies. I chose to submit paperwork instead of waiting for RFE.
thanks,
-ramesh

You had to wait so long after your second FP? Is it always the case? or any specific reasons?
