If the AP is expiring in the 9th, SHE SHOULD COME BACK BEFORE 9th. AP is for entering US and not going out

Does it then mean, it is not required in UK ? I went and came thru Heathrow last november and was not asked for. So, I would presume it is not required unless they have changed the law in the last few days
