Must i file i-765?

Is it possible to not file the i-765 and just wait until the green card arrives to get an SS number?

Im assuming the I-765 is a temporary work authorization allowing the alien to work during the processing of the case in full?

EAD is optional.

you dont have to file for your EAD or a AP you can choose to wait it out ..most ppl get the ead so they can start working but its totally up to you
