Recent Sheila Murthy's I485 Chat has been widely discussed and I want to add my option on this.

Just think what is happening with counselor process?. Why don't they very much implement the same interview pattern for I485 in all the local INS locations inside US to reduce the back-log?. If this memo is true, This might lead to that direction.

I do not see any major issue for INS approving I485 which is 180 days older if the applicant has

• I-140 Approved
• EVL from sponsoring company
• FBI Security checkup Cleared
• Recent Pay Stubs
• Marriage Certificate
• Birth Certificate
• L.C
• Completed Finger Prints

I am assuming that if it become the INS guideline, they might check all the above and approve I485 at local INS centers after an interview. I do not think DHS would see any security issues with that approach. It also reduces the service center work load.

But INS is known for its wired ruling? any new memo is not going to be make the situation bad when you compared to current 10 months stand-off.
