For AC140, does Mumbai send the Packet 3 on receipt of the AC140 application. The reason I was surprised about it was because I got the Packet 3 forms(OF169,DS230) from Mumbai inspite of including these forms in my AC140 application.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Sent my AC140 application in Jan2002
Attorney forgot to include original I140 receipt notice due to which there was a delay.
Finally heard back from Mumbai 3 days back where they sent a packet containing my case number and Packet 3.
 
Can any body confirm the following?

What do I need to include in packet 3 to Mumbai Consulate for AC-140.

1) DS-230 Part I
2) I-169 OF
3) I-130 for each dependent
4) Original or copy of I-824 Receipt Notice
5) Original or copy of I-140 Approval Notice

Any thing else I missed out.

I would appreciate your help
 
Packet 3 or packet 4

did you receive packet 3 or packet 4? if it has your interview letter, it\'s packet 4. if not, it\'s unusual that they sent packet 3. i didn\'t get one. maybe packet 3 you recd. was sent by NVC.
 
Mine is AC-I-140 case

Mine is Attorney Certified I-140 case. I will be sending my packet to Mumbai Consulate directly. I wanted to know What are the documents to be sent to the Consulate. I did not receive Packet 3 or Packet 4

I haave heard that new procedure for CP has been changed. Please post more this board thank you very much.

Yes, Mumbai and Delhi Consulate still accept AC-I-140 case. I will be sending my packet 3 papers to Mumbai Consulate this weekend.
 
Clueless: Need Help

Folks:

My I-140 application under EB-1 OR was approved at NSC on 3/11/2002 (within 6 weeks). I had indicated in my I-140 about consular processing in Mumbai. Honestly, I have no clue how the CP process works and how long it takes. Can anyone give me a crash course or refer to a website which can help me?

Go to www.immihelp.com. You will get more information there. However, keep track of this newsgroup you will find more useful information. There has been several discussions on this topic if you can browse through from December,2001. You can do a search on Consular Proceesing on this newsgroup and you will find more.
