Questions: For Medical is it OK to go on 06/06/2005 just a day
before interview ? If this is not OK then why not OK?
What are the reason that could delay the interview for more than 1 day...
(Me , My wife & Daughter (5 year old) are in Great health & never had any medical issues by the grace of GOD)

Ansarianas:

You may want to check the forums for other's medical experiences. Often, women's health-issues can delay things. Some of the places don't give everything back in just a day. Just to be safe, it would be best to have at least another day as a "buffer" before the interview, or so it seems to me. Hopefully more experiences folks can share their experiences. As well.

Best wishes!

ansarianas,
Do you have any plans to initiate name check after you reach india before interview??

According to my understanding if it is employment based immigration you need only 1-134 for your spouse and kid(both seperate).

Had a Successful Interview on May - 02

Hi Guys,
I and my wife had a successfull interview at mumbai on May 02, 2005. Interview was very much normal. Well, it was rather informal. No questions asked. The only thing he asked was what's my designation and the name of the company I will be working for. He asked me to show some of the marriage photographs just to make sure that (my wife) is my spouse :). Nothing more than that. No need for I134. If you have the notorised employment letters then its fine. But still you can take I134 with you. I took it. But didn't notorised one.

First, indian person will collect all the documents like, DS-230 part-I and
part-II, medical documents, marriage certificate, birth certificate, police
clearance certificate (from passport and and from local police station),
employment letters and draft for 45$. All these documents are mentioned as a
part of Packet-4 which we get from the consulate. Thats it and after one
hour we were called for the interview. He made us sign DS-230 Part-II
infront of him and asked us to take the oath and did the finger printing and told us to come in the evening to collect the passport with visa on it.

Medical was done at breach candy. The experience was not so good for my wife. The lady doctor asked all sorts of nonsense questions and she was very very rude. She didn't have the glasses numbers mentioned on the card by the opticial. But she knew what the numbers are but the lady doctor was very very reluctant to give the report just because of this one. So had to come the next day with the optician's card with the number mentioned on that. So I would say that always keep atleast one day buffer.

But everything paid as we got the visa. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions I will be more than happy to ask.

Local PCC ?

SamirGandhi,
Are you a ressident of India or USA. If USA, then did you still manage to get the Local PCC from India ?

Thanks.

I am a resident of India. I am currently in bangalore. My company open an office here and we moved from San Jose. So since 2 and half years I am in bangalore. But my company did continued to process the GC. Thats how it worked for me..
