Hello All,
!st time posting here and I have been reading many of the poss to see if there is a definitive answer to my questions.
1) I am currently on and H1B that is in the transfer process from Employer A to Employer B, status is still pending (Cap Exempt in both cases). I have been offered a job in a new cap exempt status by Employer C, I have accepted this position and they are going to file with premium processing sometime next week. This is to alleviate any concerns of the "pending transfer, and also to not have to endure a pending....pending transfer situation which would likely be denied.
That being said, I am required to give two weeks notice in a employ at will state/facility...(nice to know that my at will is not the same as there at will..how archaic). I need to how/when should I give notice to my "old employer or company B?
2) Regarding OPT...my wife is on OPT status that is one year in duration, however her post doc is two years duration. Should she request that the employer file H1 for her? If so, how close to expiration of OPT (Oct 15, 2007) should she do so?
3) finally a bit off topic... does anyone know where to get information on national interest waivers as this sounds like it might be a route towards permanency for us.
