I want to file I-130 for my siblings over 21. My parent got their immigration petition approved and awaiting visa stamps (likely FBI check).
now i can file thru parent for them once they are here (in ~3month) and wait till they get passport and thus siblings get their immigration processed in ~5-6 yrs but my parent may not stay long stretches of time here to get there passport in time. So i am wondering if I should file thru sibling I-130 too as a backup. Is there a disadvantage to filing two I-130s one thru parent and one thru sibling? Just in case my parent decide not to live here permenantly?
Does that change application status the kids if parent decide to move back, specially when they only have green card (even if I get them travel permits for long outside stay)?
Input greatly appreciated.
