Multiple Applications?

I have a decision to make, i would appreciate your help a lot.

Right now i am working in a startup company, I am on H1 (my h1 is with the startup company). They are also going to start my GC processing next month. But I am a bit afraid to do GC with them because of the possibility that the company may go down (not in its present state though).

I consulted with a lawyer and i came to know that there can be multiple applications per individual with different employers.

I have a friend of mine who owns a consulting company, he is ready to sponsor my greencard while i work for my current company.

my question is, will it be a problem if both the companies apply for gc for me. I am under EB2 category.

I don't want to leave my job at the startup, at the same time i dont want to jepradise my gc processing :(

I don't think there is a problem with having multiple applications. Someone else who is more experienced in this subject can verify...
 
Multiple applications - Same employee and employer - Different Posn

Hi all,

I already have an approved 140 under EB3 category. Since the priority dates are not moving for sometime now, my employer wants to apply for a PERM labor under EB2 category

Questions:
  • Can a company apply PERM for the same candidate who already has an approved 140 from the same company for another position?
  • If I apply again, do I need to withdraw my earlier application?
  • If I do apply will I lose my priority date as the intention of applying again is to retain the priority date and to ensure approval in EB2 Category
  • If in case I were to apply for PERM and get approval should I be appling for 140 again?
  • If so then at what step will be using my earlier case information into my new application?

Please provide you response at the earliest as I have to inform my folks
