I have applied for L2 EAD to NSC and it\'s been more than 90 days I haven\'t received EAD yet.

As per the clause in new law (L2EAD), I went INS to Seattle to get my interim EAD and after arguing with them for 30 mins , INS seattle decided to issue me an Interim EAD but they mentioned Student optional training in EAd instead of A18 because their computer systems are not updated for this new class. Does this EAD, with student optional training, put any restriction on me?

Also the validity of EAD is 90 days. Suppose NSC doesn\'t give any decision in next 90 days, can I go for renewal of this interim EAD. With interim EAD can I apply for SSN?

Please advise and thanks.

U can go ahead with the SSN application

Did you get something in writing about the section under which interim EAD was issued? Get a document which says that the section should have been such and such, but because of computer error it is student.
Send a fax inquiry to the service center and explain your situation or try to talk to an IIO.
If you do not get the actual EAD within 60 days go and get another EAD this time ask for 11 months 29 days(which is the maximum interim EAD can be given for)

thanks Jaxen and need one more advice!!

INS seattle has mentioned Provision of law as : 274A.12(C)(03)(i) on my EAD whereas my application was for L2EAD. They should have issued EAD under section 274a.13(d) - Interim EAD. Should I go again to INS seattle or send a letter to NSC?. I think INS issued me student EAD not INTERim EAD.

I think INS seattle did goof up with my EAD application and made this mistake.(I cannot understand why did they do this) Please advise how to sort it out.

Thanks once again.

PS: From where would I get NSC fax no as their web page does not mention it.
