Pl do advice the risk or line of action in the following situation :

1> 140 approved and 485 pending... might be for many years as I am from retrogressed country and EB3.

2> Moving out of State.

3> At present my 485 is at NSC and the new state I would move to will be under VSC.

4> I will be working for the same company that I am in at present-- work from home type of thing.

5> The company has no branches anywhere.

-- Once I do my change of address will my 485 be tranferred to new service center.

-- Do the adjucators like -- work from home concept.

Pl advice... thanks.

From what I understand,
GC is for a future job. Does not matter where you are working now and you can also be without work. You should, however, be having a permanent offer with the sponsoring company and should be working at the GC location after getting your GC.

Not sure about service center transfer stuff, although, going by the same login, I am inclined to think that they should be keeping it in the same service center where the company office is. The exception being that they would want to interview you and send you file to the service center pertaining to your residence. Again, this is my guess. Lets see what others have to say.

Yes since it is for future job .. I think it must be fine for me to move.
I am too uncertain about the 485 file status with the Service center.

Thanks

same case

i Was in exactly same situation. Was working from home in colorado and needed to move to texas to work for the same employer.. decided not to move hoping my case will be approved soon as my dates are current.

Although according to my lawyer and all it is not a problem to move. you will not have to file a new labor. (only AC21 and notifiy them about address change) although there is a high chance that the case will be transfered to another service center

AC21 -- I think we do not need that as the employer is going to be same.

I am worried about this change of address thing ...

I think the file transfer is the internal thing between the service center...?
One another question ... how do U all do the state taxes ... ?

Thanks
