I will be eligible to apply for citizenship from this year June 30 onwards. I have resided in Houston,Texas ever since I received my green card. My company is planning to send me to California on a business trip from June 15. The duration of business trip is between 3 and 6 months. I plan to forward all my mail to my temporary residence in California.

After I send my N-400 to the field office serving the Houston area
Does USCIS have any special clauses where FP notices cannot be forwarded ?
If so, I will have to ask someone to check my mail for me when I'm gone and let me know about the FP notice. This would be incovenient.

Since my move is temporary and I will still be having a residence ( actually its a single family house ) I don't need file AR-11 right ?

This is probably a USPS question. Can my mails be forwarded to a hotel ?

Thanks!

If it's a temporary move due to work assignment, then no need to file physical address change. On N-400, you can use California as mailing address and Texas as physical address. As for forwarding mail, some of USICS's mail stamps have "Return service requested" which do not forward mail, so its best use a mailing address you use instead of trying to get USCIS mail forwarded to you.
