Moving from MA to CA

I have approved I-140 and I-485 is pending for almost a year. My EAD is valid upto Sep 04. But I am still working on H1B for my sponsor in MA.

I've an offer from a CA company and I intend to use my EAD. I've some questions.

1. Where do I apply for EAD renewal and when should I apply? I think I have to notify BCIS about the address change and I have to apply at CA center for renewal, is that right?

2. Do we hear cases of EAD denial in such cases?

3. When should I notify BCIS that I am using AC21? Is the letter for permenant job offer sufficient or other documents needed?

4. Do you recommend taking help from lawyer in this case?

---- You will apply EAD renewal where your I-485 is pending( I hope your I-485 is with VSC. You should apply EAD renewal 6 months advance from current EAD expiry date so that you can get new EAD before this EAD expires
I think I have to notify BCIS about the address change and I have to apply at CA center for renewal, is that right?
------- You have to apply for address change fill up form AR11 also update NCSC 1-8003755283 provide your name, DOB and A# and all the pending applications receipt # AND also send the letter to service center to change the address on your all pending petitions with service center. If your I-485 is pending at CA then apply EAD with CA if I-485 pending with VSC then you have to apply with VSC even if you change your address.
2. Do we hear cases of EAD denial in such cases?
---- if form has incorrect info and no correct fee and sent to wrong address or to different service center they may deny
3. When should I notify BCIS that I am using AC21? Is the letter for permanent job offer sufficient or other documents needed?
---- Many send AC21 letter when they join new employer many wait till the RFE , you need letter from new employer and your letter that you have changed the intent and request to CIS to invoke AC21
4. Do you recommend taking help from lawyer in this case?
---- It will be better if you take help from lawyer and fill up new G28 and lawyer will take care of AC21 letter drafting

The confusion on my part is about EAD renewal. Since I moving from state to state and I have 6 mths left on current EAD, maybe I should apply for EAD renewal right now. But I am afraid that the EAD will be posted to my present address instead of the new one. There will be still a delay of moving to CA and I won't be able to notify CIS about the address change along with EAD renewal application.

Secondly if I inform them about address change, won't they question me about changing the employers right then? In other words, doesn't informing about address change and invoking AC21 should be done together?

If something does go wrong & i need interim EAD to continue working, then I guess I'll have to go to CIS office and stand in the queue in the morning to get it. But once in CA, can I goto local CSC or somehow ask VSC to send the interim EAD?

Btw, what's G28 :)

--If I-140 approved and I-485 pending more than 180 days they are not going to question, many move to different states.

----- Better first change the address and later invoke AC21

----- you file EAD renewal when you move with new address on form I-765 for EAD, if they send EAD before your EAD expires then it is fine or go to Local USCIS office to get iEAD and stand in the queue in the morning to get it you are not the only one all stand in queue to get iEAD
But once in CA, can I go to local CSC
---- YES, with EAD filing receipt and 90 days over after filing and you have to show CA driving license
or somehow ask VSC to send the interim EAD?
---- VSC only sends EAD , iEAD is issued by local USCIS office

So what's this form G28? I never heard of it.

Also I'm having a second offer, but it's a contract opportunity. I think it's out of question since the employer won't be providing me with the permenant job offer letter. Am I right?

----- G28 is form that you sign to represent you with lawyer. Go to USCIS and look for forms

----- if the employer is not going to offer permanent job then why change ?stick to the original employer or if you want to change employer find a company who is ready to give you future permanent job offer letter
