Move from L1 to H1

Hi Guru's,

I am currently on L1, and have approved H1 for this year, (i should be able to work starting from Oct2005).

My question is, Can i continue on L1 even after Octobor 2005, How long? I am planning to use my H1 on Jan 2006.

Please suggest.

Based on what you stated, I assume that you have an H1 approval permitting you to work for a new employer from
October 1, 2005.

My question is, Can i continue on L1 even after Octobor 2005, How long? I am planning to use my H1 on Jan 2006.

If your new employer has requested change of status in H1B petition, your status will be L1 until September 30, 2005 and H1B from October 1, 2005. You cannot continue on L1 after September 30, 2005.

Please suggest.

Stamping

Quick question on the same scenario (L1 to H1)
Do i need to go for stamping for me to start work on the H1?

Could some one share the experience on this?
