Mother's maiden name

Hi,
I used my mother's first name for "Mother's Maiden Name" in all forms that I filled in for Greencard.
I got my greencard.
I came to know that I have to use my mother's last name before her marriage for "Mother's maiden name".
So, I went to SSN office and filled out a form to change the same.
My question is will I have to use my new mother's maiden name or my old mother's maiden name while filing for Citizenship.I am confused now whether INS will verify my greencard documents or my ssn forms.
Any suggestions would be very helpful for me.

Thanks,

I am not sure to understand : how can your mother have TWO maiden names ?!

A female only has one maiden name : it's the name she was born with ( = prior to any marriages )

Smart fella....

Read his post again (completely)

Ok Apolllo_13 , it can happen to make mistakes. But you did not help this person either. So do not comment by offending others.

Also, he/she said he/she used his mother's FIRST name for mother's maiden name = LAST name.
I hope that was just a mistake here, and not on the forms.

I would suggest you use her REAL maiden name on the forms for citizenship. Otherwise, it would be "lying" .
Bring a birth certificate that mentions her maiden name to make sure.

you didn't try to help him either in your first post.

i don't know an answer so i didn't give any suggestion.

Anyway dude, leave it. I didn't mean to hurt you.
