Mother on GC, outside US since 1995, sister got visa papers, please help!!

My mother has a GC and left US in 1995 and she did not come here in the US after that.


When she was here she filed the petition for my sister to come over here. My sister got her visa papers for her to come over here. Can she come here with my mother being there and never been here since 1995?

Please advice.

If your mother left the US in 95 and didnot come back she has most likely lost her greencard.. She should have filed a petition for re-entry if she was going to leave the US for more than a year.

She should contact the nearest US Consulate to find out the procedure to re-apply to come to the US.

Not any more, she lost her GC one year after she left US.

Since she no longer has GC any petition filed by her for relatives is automatically voided.
