Hello everyone,
I have a question. 6 years ago I was in Egypt, and my wife started my green card process. I scheduled an appointment for my immigration inerview. I filled my mother name in that application ds-230.
I got my citized and I want to start the Green card process for my mother and my brother. my mom got a visitor visa that will get expired in 2024 , but I discovered that the name written on her passport has different spilling from the one I used on my immigration application 6 years ago (ds-230). the first and secind name are writtin with a little spelling difference.
Now the question is which name to use for my American passport and on the application I-130.
Do we need to change here passport to match the name I used on the ds-230 application? if so how about the visitor visa she got, specially that she will come again to visit us? and would that affect the immigration process by any mean?
Or to use the the name on the passport as it is now, and disregard whatever I used on the ds-230 application.
Thank you!
