Hi Folks,
are there any rating scheme for USCIS service centers..I recall filling up feedback sheets for ASC uscis during fingerprinting/biometrics. How about the local service centers.
I have been treated miserably by Pittsburgh USCIS local center and in my opinion is worst USCIS service center. I have been part of 4 other USCIS jurisdictions and most have been lot fairer by all means.

Pittsburgh USCIS lies, misplaces files, keeps files at their possession without knowing the shelves and in my case sent namecheck request to the FBI twice with date of birth and wrong name spelling.

Is there anyway I can complain against them ? Unfortunately me, my I-485 was approved the day I filed my lawsuit complaint with the court. I couldn't pursue that. Around a month after approval, haven't heard from them since. Each time I call, hear something will happen really soon. During my visit to DO last week, I knew my file is still at their possession and has yet not been sent to the HQ. bunch of freaking idiots.

Shon, were you able to get an I-551 stamp? I saw from your previous posts that you weren't able to in the past. Let me know. Also, how did you get the email address to email Pittsburgh DO? I have no updates on my case either after a month of the verbal approval at the interview at Norfolk, VA. I wanted to see if there was a way to get in touch with them without driving all the way there (about 2.5 hours from where I live.). I hope you get your physical card soon or are able to get the I-551 stamp. Do keep me posted.

No card or approval letter yet !!! Filing i-847 today

Hi,
no i first enquired about the stamp via reply email..Cis assistant replied me to wait for the letter. Last week I took my reservation tickets to canada and hotel bookings from 28th to july 6th to procure a stamp.. They declined to stamp my passport with temporary status citing me to cancel the tickets at earliest convenience. I had also filed a new i-131 on may 8th, 2006...i asked about the status of that as well...she suggested not to travel using i-131 on an approved i-485 even if the card comes through. I am sick of these good for nothing folks.
my work is close to the DO, so i take a 10 minutes break and can bug them as often as i can...nothing seems to work though...pittsburgh do publishes the i-485 email in the website....pitt.i485@dhs.gov....earlier susann used to reply to the emails, now its marica. if u want Susann's direct number, here it is : 412-390-3955
Also seemingly it appears that after approvals, DO sends the approval indication file to the HQ...i appeared to the DO after 3 Weeks of approval and came to know the file is still under their purview and NOT yet sent to HQ !! What the hell these morons are holding my file for...However, Susann promised me to send the file to HQ that evening and that i should hear something soon...Today is the 4th business day since then....keeping my fingers crossed.

Shon,

I hope you get it soon. I can imagine how frustrating it is. They definitely need to become more efficient. Oh well! I hope you get it in time for your trip. Good luck!

Thanks for the info on contact details. Let me see if I can try something similar for email to reach the my DO :)

Subject: RE: I-485 Status Check

Hello Marica,
good morning. Its almost a month since my I-485 approval and I haven't received the approval letter yet . We have made vacation plans for a week from June 29 - July 5. We had planned this vacation around April and I have therefore applied for I-131 travel parole document. My I-131 is not yet approved and my I-485 got approved before that.
Please indicate if there is any possibility for temporary stamping possible to accomodate my travel plans to Niagara ?

Thanks
Shon

Questions :
During my last visit, I was told my immigration information officer that the approval notice would be sent to USCIS headquarters in DC for other administartive work, website update, card printing etc. Why did Marica mention Vermont ? I never applied to a service center but directly to local USCIS. Is it customery for vermont USCIS to intervene at this stage ?

She mentioned, she would e-mail VSC. Do you think, they would be able to get some temporary evidence for me by end of the day tomorrow. I have planned my travel/bookings from thursday June 29th..I dont know if I wait till tomm or cancel my reservations right away ? Any suggestions..

thanks
Shon
