I have a funny story to tell. My wife recieved I-485 approval notice on 08/25/03. Based on approval letter, we went to local INS office and stamped her passport. I was checking her on-line case status hoping for the message (we ordered your card....). Unfortunately, the message was updated to one which says "On 09/26/03 we approved your case ......". At first I thought that they activated the wrong message but with the right date. Sure enough after 5 days, I recieved the new approval notice in the mail. I am totally confused now. Which letter is the right one? How would the same case with the same name, receipt number and A# get approved twice? Could somebody help me solve the puzzle.
So now I have two approval notices. If somebody is looking for one, don't hesitate to call me
