more passport issues.....

Well, on friday I called the National Passport Office and they told me that my passport was completed at 2:18 p.m. that afternoon and they even gave me a tracking number. However, surprise, surprise, the tracking number does not show up in the system of the USPS......I expected that I got the wrong tracking number and therefore would wait to see if it showed up here with the mail. It did not. I am wondering if they just got it ready for mailing but have not mailed it yet.....anyone with any experience like this? Should I be worried about them missplacing by Natz Certificate? Also, I am traveling next Friday.....:confused::eek:
 
I applied for my Password on 5/28/2008 and i got it this afternoon, patience my friend. It is coming today or monday. I did not get the certificate however, maybe next week.
 
From what I have seen the tracking number gets sent but the package is not picked up right then -- and this happens with all companies -usps, fedex, ups etc. I think tracking will only begin either on Sunday or Monday .

Impatient, aren't we? ;) All in all it seems you are doing an excellent processing time, just hang in there you'll get it tomorrow or the day after. Good luck. As said, sometimes it takes a little for the tracking number to show up in the system. Certificate might come in a different envelope a few days later.
