More bad news for I-485 retrogression

Correct, the Indian government is to be blamed. They do not protect any Indian workers - here or back home. If the process to get a tax treaty, is started by the Indian government _today_, it will not come in my lifetime.

90000 EB Visas Capture

AHA (American Health Association) representative submitted note to recapture 90000 EB visa. See the attached document. May be this is already posted on other forum, but can't find it, so thought of uploading. May give some benefit sooner rather than later if this is approved or considered.

sometimes i feel why are we so tunnel visioned...

why do we see only our problems.....WE ARE LEGAL AND ARE NOT BEING TREATED WELL...

illegal immigrants have become the labor which does most manual work in usa, usa cannot do without them....since they are finding it hard to find anyone to do manual works...

all small business wants illegal immigrants to be legalized..

if that puts a spoke in our wheels.....thats our problem.....we have to find a solution....not blame the system...

in short the system is not to serve us....it is to serve the american people....and it will be run by the american politicians....as per their agenda...

NOW DONT TELL ME HOW IMPORTANT OUR CONTRIBUTION IS TO SOCIETY, AND HOW WE PAY TAX, ABIDE LAW...., we are not doing charity.....it is the law of the land....and we know we will be kicked out if we dont abide....we would have done the same in any country in the world...

so lets try to remain rational....stop whining like kids......get organized....and try to influence....the politicians....

its not going to happen overnight....unless....things were already plannned....I have a bad feeling that we may be totally ignored for the next 2 years.....because as long as american business gets their workers on H1 visa.....they dont care about us....

so it is our fight.....and it is not our right.....we were supposed to be temporary......but that does not mean we cannot influence....by creating sympathy towards our cause.
Just a thought ..since we dont have the right to vote does anyone think that all the letters that we send to senators etc will get any attention ?

Updated VISA Bulletin (Bad new)

D. EMPLOYMENT PREFERENCE VISA AVAILABILTIY

The backlog reduction efforts of both Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Department of Labor continue to result in very heavy demand for Employment-based numbers. The amount of cases currently being processed is sufficient to use all available numbers in many categories. The level of demand in the Employment categories is expected to be far in excess of the annual limits, and once established, cut-off date movements are likely to be slow.

More GC visa no. allotments

Cheer Up Guys...patience is virtue.. read this.

The senate judiciary committee also considered a proposal to expand the number of employment-based green cards available. Some 140,000 visas are available per year for employment-based immigration, of which each country has a 7% limit or about 10,000 visas each. Due to a huge backlog of applicants, the US Department of State recently announced a change that would effectively increase the waiting period for certain categories of applicants to up to seven years or more.

The committee on Thursday passed the recapture of unused employment-based visas for allocation of up to 90,000 a year. However, it is estimated that the number of unused visas available would amount to about this figure. In addition, spouses and minor children have been excluded from the annual cap, freeing up a further 80,000-90,000 employment-based immigrant visas every year.

Lets be patient

Friends,

Lets be patient. The immigration provision has not been passed into law yet. In fact it is several steps and months away from happening. The senate and the house have to vote on it.

It will be a good temp relief. Lets pray and hope it becomes law soon.
