More AP / H Status question

My wife is in H4 status. Theres no current and valid H4 visa stamp on her passport for travel purposes. Now she is working on EAD. The question is that when we go to India and come back - we have two options - either take an AP from here or get an H4 in India. Now if she comes back on H4, can she continue working on her EAD ? Or is it that AP needs to be used for enetering US if you\'ve been working on EAD ?
If anyone enters on an AP and subsequently the 485 adjustment is denied, can you stay on your h4 status or do you have to prepare yourself for deportation ??
Any thoughts would be welcome.

Your wife\'s H4 is no longer valid

As far as I know, since your wife is using her EAD, her H4 is no longer valid. Therefore, she does not have any other choice but to use the AP.

This is my understanding..
Since your wife is employed using EAD, she is no longer on H4 status. (You might be still on H1.. does not matter). Her visa status is EAD and she has to use AP for travel.
