My mother landed in Newark on Jul 4.
She got the PR via consular processing in Chennai ( Feb 2008 ).
How long does it typically take to get the platic card in the mail ?
She got her SSN card in 2 weeks.
Is there a phone number to call to enquire the status of the plastic card ?

The hurry is, she needs to go back to her home country and come back every 6 months...

So, is there a number to call for the status of plastic card? I am in a similar situation.

Note that the person can travel back and come back within a year with the stamp in the passport. I am not sure if they still do that, but I had this kind of stamp when I came.
