Mistakes on I-130 (Please Help)

Hello,
Two weeks ago I filed a I-130 form my mother. I am 22 and a naturalized US citizen. Upon mailing the forms with required copies of documentation, I looked at the copies of the application and realized that i made a few mistakes. 1) I forgot to put the last number in my social security 2) I forgot to add my Birthday 3)The date of one of her divorces is wrong.

These mistakes were mostly due to my inexperience filling out pdf files. I have not received my receipt number yet. I was wondering what I can do to fix these mistakes so that they do not result in the form being denied. Please help. and Thank you.

Also will I face any legal matters if she is indeed denied, that might affect my citizenship.

when you get your receipt, send a corrected copy, highlight the corrected questions/answers, and enclose a cover letter.

Thanks LucyMo. Have you been through this process? or Has anyone actually done a fix or correction after their I-130 has been sent out?

Relax

Hi:

Do what Lucy suggest that you do. No need to ask for more questions which has been answered very correctly.

You social security number is very important, so wait for a receipt to be issued, if they do issue one on your case. However, for now... enjoy life and worry about this process later...

I received my NOA (I-797C)today which was relatively fast. and called their offices to request the mistakes made. The guy said he would file a Typographical Error Report to the Vermont office for me documenting the corrections that should be made. And said that I would receive a letter in the mail confirming the changes within 60 days. Does this pose a delay in the process? ANd also on the NOA, the part where it says "priority date" is left blank. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Thanks ya for the advice. Been reading a lot and learning the process. I have a paranoid mother that keeps me worried. But Yet another question... If you are filing for a parent( mother in my case), about how long does it take to get your I-130 approved? (relatively)
