Hi,
I am on H4 visa, I have been in USA since Jan 2007., today i went to Social Security office to get a Social Security Denial which was asked when i went for a state ID. The problem here is, The immigration officer has made a mistake of entering my status as H1 B. So the officer at the social security has told that, I have to apply for a SSN and they cannot give a denial, so they have taken an application for SSN.
Now What should I do. Whom do I contact and how. How do I see that the status details change in the Immigration details. the officer has written in my I 94 as H1 B, but my Visa clearly states I am H4. I too never noticed what was mentioned in the I 94 till today.
Please give reply about what is to be done.
