Mistake in E-filing EAD

I e-filed I-765(EAD) for my wife in the weekend.

After submitting the online form, I realized that I made a mistake selecting Family based as the basis of I-485 pending. As a result, I got the receipt number starting with MSC and USCIS asked me to submit supporting documents to National Benefits Center in Missouri. I think, I should be submitting supporting documents to Phoenix lockbox facility, as we are presently living in California and she will not be falling under the family based category for her I-485 pending.

Her current EAD is set to expire by July 10th.

Can I file another I-765(EAD) ?

Please advise me, what are the necessary steps I should take care to correct the improper filing and to receive my wife EAD in time.

Thanks,

Jay

To Original thread question, Some more information,

I filed my green card under EB2 and have my AOS pending at USCIS Nebraska Serivce Center. My wife I-485 pending is based upon Derivative adjustment status.

Wrong name on EAD application

I e-filed for EAD (I-765) renewal for my spouse about 20 days ago and just noticed that I had switched first and last (family) names.
1. Should I try to correct this? or hope that they pick up the correct name from A# or from I-485 receipt number?

2. If it is recommended to correct this - what is the procedure suggested?

When we went for the finger print appointment at local ASC they pointed it out. I am hoping that they sent some kind of correction back to Nebraska Service Center (where it is pending) but I am not very sure.

Thanks

Hi Jay,
I made the exact same mistake as you had. I e-filed EAD renewal and put Family Based instead of Employment based...

I was wondering what exactly you had to do in order to resolve this issue. Did you have to re-file your wife's application? Any help will be well appreciated.

Thanks,
Jaymin.
