misspelled first name

I recieved my I140 approval with my first name misspelled. I recieved 140/485 reciept notices with misspelled first name but i contacted NCSC and they (supposedly) sent a typographical error request to NSC. Should this be corrected? what are the options? any similar experiences?

I had similar experience with my EAD card, my last name was misspelled. I contacted my lawyer and she in turn contacted BCIS. She sent copies of my I140 approval letter, 485, EAD, AP receipt notices and copy of EAD renewal application. I received my corrected EAD this Friday after about 30 days (or less).
