Missing Evidences -please help

Today I received my I-797C, Notice of Action letter (Receipt Letter).

It says "Receipt with Exceptions: The above application has been received by our office and in process, but has been noted with one or more of following exceprion(s): Your application was missing evidence(s) that you will need to provide at the time of your naturalization interview. You will be notified under separate notice of the necessary evidence(s) that you will be required to bring to your interview. Do not submit any evidence(s) by mail."

At the bottom it says "You will be notified of the date and place of your interview when you have been scheduled by local INS office. You should expect to be notified within 540 days of this notice."

Important Notice: "You will receive a notice that will provide you with information about when and where to go to have your fingerprints taken, and what you will need to bring with you. Please inform the office listed below immediately of any address changes."

I am guessing that 540 days is not specific to my case and is written on everybody's receipt letter. Let me know what your letter says? Thanks in advance .

Anyone receive th same letter? What evidences do they ask for?
Any experience related to this, please share. Thanks.

not to worry....

Most likely you must have declared some citation like speeding tickets etc. You will see a lot of info if you search more in this forum. That letter seems to be a standard /preprinted letter. I got the same one as you did.

Nevertheless don’t be surprised if you didn’t received a separate notice about the missing evidence because they never do send one. Just make sure you bring all your necessary documentation if ever if you declared citations in your application during your interview.

Good luck on your journey.

This is standard

The same thing happened to me about "Missing Evidence". I received the same notice. Never received another notice indicating exactly what they were looking for. As the Naturalization Interview approached, my attorney even wrote them asking for what we need to bring to the interview. No response.

When I completed the interview, nothing was missing. They had all the paperwork needed. I only took with me items that they said I should bring in the Notice for Interview.

I believe this is a standard operating procedure. When you receive notice to appear for interview, they will list everything you need to bring to the interview.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
